Panagitsa

Sand, pebbles and tamarisk trees
Panagitsa is a tranquil beach next to Askeli, in the southern part of Poros. Visitors here have the illusion of being alone among the sand, pebbles, sea water and tamarisk trees. The sea bottom and beach soil at Panagitsa were formulated after the big volcano explosions of the Methana volcano in the antiquity, creating an interesting morphology. The area around the beach is very serene and it is ideal for walking. The picturesque chapel of Virgin Mary completes the fabulous ambience.
