Sikinos Practical info

General Info

Sikinos Island is located at the south part of the Cyclades between Folegandros to the west and Ios to the east. Generally the island has a dry climate with mild winters and hot summers. Despite the fact that it is a mountainous and arid island like most of the Cyclades, during the ages the inhabitants developed agriculture, apiculture, pasture and of course fishing. It is also the first island in the Cyclades to be nominated a "Habitat of European Importance".
