Right beneath the historical mining sites

Metalia is a small beach located very near Limenaria beach at the southwestern part of Thassos island. The beach is ideal for snorkeling and for children as the waters here are shallow and clean and the beach is relatively short. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent on the coast while you will also find some light snacks, coffee and refreshments from a small canteen. Right above the coast you will admire the remnants of the old mining site and an abandoned factory, adding a strange touch to the place's natural beauty.
