Amygdalota
A local pastry with almonds, eggs, sugar and rosewater. 

Skiathian cheese pie
A local delicacy with thin dough forming sheets, feta cheese, yogurt, milk, eggs and olive oil. 


Haimalia
This is a traditional pastry, especially made for weddings and it’s offered in large baskets, after the ceremony. They are made with nuts, cognac, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, juice from 3 oranges, honey and flour. The filling is usually prepared the night before the wedding and the actual sweet on the day of the wedding so it can be fresh and crunchy. 


Kakavia
A delicious soup with potatoes, onions, olive oil, lemon juice and about 2 kilos of fresh fish of various types. 


Crawfish with cabbage
This is a traditional dish, with crawfish (or cuttlefish), greens, spring onions, tomatoes and olive oil. 


Monkfish stifado
This is yet another delicious recipe with monkfish, onions, tomato, garlic, vinegar, wine, rosemary, oregano and pimento grains.


Octopus with Fava mousse
We saved the best for last. This is a mouthwatering combination! Boiled octopus, fava, garlic, onions, mustard, honey, white vinegar, rosemary and olive oil. The fava is made into a puree, as a side dish that accompanies the octopus. A recipe made in heaven.
