Posidonia 2012 welcomes you on board


With a tradition of more than 40 years, Posidonia exhibition aims at presenting and informing its visitors with the most important news of the shipping industry. The name of the event derives from Poseidon, one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon of Greek mythology. Poseidon, brother of Zeus and Hades, is also known as “the God of the sea”.

So whether you are a sea lover, a passenger, a shipbuilder or a skipper, Posidonia 2012 welcomes you to the most fascinating event of the maritime community.

The participants

More than 1700 participants from around the world, along with the family of the Greek shipping industry, offer you the chance to get acquainted with the leaders of world shipping, shipbuilding, finance and associated industries. From June 4 to June 8, you have the opportunity to live the experience of one of the largest gatherings of the international shipping industry, with a unique mix of business spirit and elegant hospitality.

The venue

This year the event is relocated at the state of the art Athens Metropolitan Exhibition Centre, which provides a fully professional and functional environment for participants and visitors. Located at the Athens International Airport Complex, Metropolitan Expo is easily accessible by metro, bus and car. The fairground itself offers excellent facilities according to the high standards of the Posidonia requirements.
